   Is there a plugin, or someone working on one, that allows people to edit their own comments. IE not a user but just a normal comment - If you see what i mean,

   No there is not. Once the comment is posted only users can edit them. Comments do not require registration. There are plugins that allow for a preview before post, however.

   yeah, i quite like the preview comments, but Its a tad complicated to install for my liking.
   Its a shame theres no way to edit comments, it must be possible through cookies surely?
