   Hi there --- I'm hoping someone can help a Noob with a couple of dumb questions. I'm relatively savvy with this stuff, so feel free to be explicit in your responses.

   (1) Header -- I'd like to change the font, size, and color of the header text.

   (2) Side column --- I'd like to rename the "Pages", "Categories", "Archive" and "Blog Roll" headers.

   (3) Side column --- there's a spot for "125x125" advertisement and "Subscribe to RSS"...I'd like to get rid of both.

   Hi

   #1 - generally these are set in the stylesheet, style.css in your theme folder. Look at the code in header.php to find the name of the DIV of your header. Then find the corresponding section in the stylesheet.

   2 & 3 - in most themes, this code is found in sidebar.php. In some themes it could be sidebr_r.php, r_sidebar.php, etc.
