Does it only happen on the Downloads post type or all pages?

I just tested on my local install and the Fullscreen editor is working fine for me.

I noticed it on an ordinary (not Downloads) page. I have tried turning off all other plugins and switching to Twenty Eleven and I still get the same behavior.

When you say it disables the editor, what exactly do you mean? Does the button go away? Does clicking the button not do anything?

    (@rgilman)

The button is still there but does nothing when clicked. I have tried this in Firefox, Safari and Chrome (all on Mac OX 10.8 on a MacBook Pro and a Mac Pro) with the same result: Activate EDD and the button stops working. Deactivate EDD and the button works again.

I’ve looked in the firebug console and found no reported errors.

I would be happy to attempt any debugging ideas you might suggest.

Hmm, interesting. Can you post your System Info? Go to Downloads > System Info and copy it here.

    Everything there looks good.

Does it happen on all post types?

    Thread Starter rgilman

    (@rgilman)

Every one that I have tested.

I also just ran the activate/deactivate test on Windows 7 with IE via VMFusion. Same result.

    Thread Starter rgilman

    (@rgilman)

I just tried a fresh install of WP 3.5.1 on a second server, Twenty Twelve theme, and EDD 1.4.4.1 as the only active plugin. I get the same result. With EDD active, nothing happens with the fullscreen button (in Visual or Text mode). With it deactivated, the button works.

Weird. I’m going to ping a few other users and see if they can replicate it, since everything works perfectly for me.

    (@mordauk)

I’ve had 5 other users test and all confirmed it’s working perfectly fine for them.

Was the second server on the same host?

    Thread Starter rgilman

    (@rgilman)

Good to hear it is working fine for the others. I’ll be delighted to find out whatever is my particular issue.

The second server was on a different host with a different flavor of linux.

I’m thinking of installing an older version and then upgrading. How far back could I go and still have it work on WP 3.5.1?

    Plugin Contributor Pippin Williamson

    (@mordauk)

V1.0 should work just fine with WP 3.5.1 🙂

    Thread Starter rgilman

    (@rgilman)

I tried a clean install of WP 3.5.1 and then added EDD 1.0.1.1 and got the same behavior.

I added EDD 1.4.4.2 to a local MAMP system runing WP 3.4 and got the same behavior.

When it works for you, what OS and version and browser are you using?

What settings do you have in EDD?

Have you tried a clean install of WP and then a fresh add of EDD?

I’d really like to use EDD and I’d like to get this issue cleared before I do more development on setting up my download system.

Thanks for your help (and for creating/maintaining this awesome plugin in the first place!)

I think I may have just found what is causing this. Can you try applying this fix? https://github.com/pippinsplugins/Easy-Digital-Downloads/commit/d9f47ea07b5b90142961ec520974cf67e24eef24

I test EDD extensively with all browsers and all OSs nearly every day.
