Using the Moving WordPress faq I was successful in moving my wp blog from it’s sub-directory out to the root directory. The only hangup was with step 11.

All my media is in the new location etc. but as the document mentioned all my post point to the old location. I followed the links provide in step 11 but the other document mentioned really doesn’t explain how to use the local copy of your db to ‘search and replace’ old media locations to the new location.

I’m not a SQL guru at all, but is there something (step-by-step directions or a plug-in) which will allow me to quickly replace the media location string in my SQL db? I found a threat where this was discussed but it was abbreviated as the two guys where obviously gurus! 🙂

Thanks for any help you can provide.
