Not clean on what you want. If you want free hosted WordPress, go to wordpress.com . WordPress itself is a free download from http://wordpress.org/download/ and there are recommended hosts: http://wordpress.org/hosting/
Well, I’ve tried the wordpress.com dashboard, but I want a dashboard where I can add plugins. And I found out that it was only possible with the wordpress.org dashboard. But every time I try to download it, it only opens in some stupid jZip format. So basically, I wonder how i can open the wordpress.org dashboard
You need to install WordPress, either on a webhost (my links above) or locally (esmi’s link), as pointed out above. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress
WordPress downloads as a .zip archive, not a .jzip; that’s a config issue on your PC.
Thanks for all the help guys, I installed the local windows host and moved it ti disc c. But after the installation I can’t find it. It says that it should be on start -> programs, but I can’t find anything there. How can I open it?
What did you install Wamp Mamp or Xampp
did you create a icon when installing if no you can access it from C:\ if installed in C drive there should be folder xampp
Ye I found the folder on the C map, and I tried to install and unistall several times, but I still can’t find or open the program
well, thge only thing I got on the C is a dsl-win-v3.4.0b folder, but I’m guessing it’s the same thing?
Ok I’m trying to understand it here. I downloaded the local host for windows, which was an xampp and called dsl-win-v3.4.0b, once I installed it i dragged the folder from zip to C. WHen I opened it on C the installer was running, so I installed it. Before the installation was complete a little note told me that the desktopserver was to be found on start -> prorams, but I can’t find it there
where do i find the wordpress.org dashboard?

Also, please start a new thread if you need further help.
larsoon, it sounds like you have a WordPress.com site and want to add the WordPress.org dashboard to that. If this is the case, it doesn’t work like that and nothing you do will make it work. Key differences between WordPress.com & WordPress.org are explained at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Installing a local copy of WordPress will not add the WordPress.org dashboard to your WordPress.com blog.
If you are using WordPress.com, not WordPress.org and need support, you need to ask your questions on the WordPress.com forums http://en.forums.wordpress.com/
