   I have installed the Easy FTP upload plugin and got everything up and running. The upload process works but as soon as I try to upload a file that is over 5mb it fails to send the file to the ftp server.

   Does anyone know of a fix for this?

   that is more likely a limit imposed by your host
   ask them if they can adjust this or guide you on how to
