This site is in regards to http://www.entrepreneurmomnow.com/vancouver (a subfolder multisite installation).

I'm creating several sites based the Vancouver site, above. Each time I create a site, I need to add the pages, widgets, etc. I'd much prefer to just copy an old site into a new directory as a base. Is there any simple way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Christine

  2. Per Andrea, this might help.

It hasn't been updated in a while so you should test it out on a test WordPress network first just to be safe.

    Thanks Jan!

That plugin seems to be for new default settings. I'm actually looking for that PLUS something that allows me to easily copy the tables of existing blogs on my network. I'm hoping to skip the step of adding the same default text over and over again to pages as well as re-creating the sidebars etc. Ideally, the steps would be:

    1. Create a skeleton site with all the basic configurations.
    2. Copy the skeleton site to create a new site.
    3. Configure the new skeleton site with site customizations (e.g. new Twitter handles, etc).

    Thanks!

The Replicator plugin may be what you need. It's a pay-for plugin, FYI

  5. Hrm... it ought to be possible to duplicate skeleton tables and populate them with the customizations...

I think you'll need to wait for Andrea to notice this thread for a good answer. :)

Edit: DOH! 30 seconds! And her answer is better than mine.

It's an Andrea answer too ;) It's her plugin. Copies everything, from posts and widgets to plugins.

sounds exactly like what I need. $39 seems like a good price to save me from hours of replicating the site.
