@bwooster47 – Although we do have Multisite support built into NextGEN Gallery, without you actually installing it to see if it works the way you want it to there is not much more we can offer as to its suitability for your specific needs.
If it does not work “correctly” then by all means please submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can try to help you sort out what, if any, issues you may find.
Thanks!

Aha, thanks – but I was looking for the same thing that all the posts for “nextgen multisite” are asking for – a way to share media and galleries and albums with all sites in a single multi-site install.
But I definitely could not do that – sure, I can network install NextGEN, but that can be done for most plugins. I then had to upload media and create galleries individually in both the sites I was using.
I could not find a way to share media with all sites in an install – like the Network Shared Media allows for.
So, out of the box NextGEN does not have multi-site sharing capability. I don’t think I should enter a bug for this – since it is really a big feature and not clear if this matters to most NextGEN users.
And some other intrepid users have figured out how to hack NextGEN and share media – but maybe if not full support, at least NextGEN could make this easier for multi-site language installs by offering a way to customize it such that all media and galleries and albums are stored in a single place (blog-independent) in a single multi-site install?
I just created a post about this too! I would like to see if nextgen can do this. i would hate to upload the multiple images twice, especially since my site is the same but in a different language.
I’ve seen all the hacks possible but the new version of NextGen changed alot of the mark-up and settings
Has there been any new updates/developments on this?
@lilap – Have you tried the latest version of NextGEN Gallery?
This is an old post and if you are experiencing issues now then it would be best for you to create your own topic with your own site specific items noted.
Thanks!
