   My site (http://biochemicalsoul.com) is registering two instantaneous, or near-instantaneous, hits with each pageview.

   It does this on the home page and posts. I use CyStats, Statcounter, and Google Analytics (I see the same with all counters).

   I am a novice at html, but I know enough to do the basics.

   I don't know php, but I'm comfortable modifying it when I have decent instructions.

   Does anyone have a clue why this might be occuring?

   Is something causing an instantaneous reload? I cannot see anything that might cause this.

   ahh - the statcounter plugin inserts statcounter code into the footer.
   I also had code manually inserted into the sidebar.

   This still doesnt explain why cystats recorded double hits.
