[resolved] E-Mail Settings conflicting with Gravity Forms (12 posts)

    Hi There,

I am attempting to use your plugin on my website however I have found that it is conflicting with another plugin that I use: Gravity Forms.

The "E-Mail Settings" in your plugin override all other e-mail settings for the entire WordPress installation. Any forms that are submitted via our website appear to be sent and received from the e-mail address specified in "E-Mail Settings" on your plugin.

We are contemplating the purchase of the premium version of your plugin as we are very impressed by the features offered, but we are having to keep the plugin disabled until this issue can be repaired.

    Please advise,
    Zach

Wow, I'm having the same problem with Contact Form 7. I'm so bummed about this...

I just tried some other plugins and it's not them creating the email problem. Unfortunately, PMP has overridden the default wordpress emails too. Must have some kind of priority setting somewhere.... so frustrating because the plugin is awesome but not very useful if it's taking over email settings sitewide...

I am hoping the plugin creators can create a patch for this issue. Its a pretty serious oversight and makes this awesome plugin unusable right now.

definitely. I've searched everywhere for a fix and nothing... they have an add-on plugin (https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/3667545) that is supposed to suppress all PMP emails. For kicks, I tried it, but It still didn't prevent the override. I tweeted them too. Hopefully, we'll here something soon.

I heard back from the developer via twitter early this morning. The issue will be patched in the next plugin update. In the meantime, either follow instructions here http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2013/02/only-change-the-from-email-and-name-on-pmpro-emails/ if you're a premium member or the gist.github code here https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/4699285#file-only-change-from-email-name-on-pmpro-emails-php .

Worked like a charm for me! Hope it does for everyone else too!

    Thanks for the update rwilki!
As rwilki mentioned, until the next update is rolled out, this gist can be used: https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/4699285#file-only-change-from-email-name-on-pmpro-emails-php

To clarify (for others who may come across this), you will either want to insert that code in your active theme's functions.php file or a custom plugin as described here: http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2012/08/create-a-plugin-for-pmpro-customizations/

    Hi All,

Glad this issue seems to be fixed! I'll go ahead and resolve this ticket but let us know if anything else comes up. Thanks for using Paid Memberships Pro!

The fix on gist.github works great except creates an error when someone cancels their membership.

Warning: Missing argument 2 for my_pmpro_email_headers() in /home/xxxxxxx/xxxxx/wp-content/themes/themename/functions.php on line 748

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!
    Bob
