    Ηello,

I’m using Contact Form 7 and it works fine when I’m using an external mailaddress (myname@gmail.com for example).
But not a e-mail address with the same domain as the website (@mydomain.com).
I am using zoho mail for my e mails (I contacted zoho but they said it was not their issue). Could using an external email sevice (the mx records are pointing to zoho) be causing the problem? Or could the problem be caused by somethning else?
    Thank you

  • Hi.

RE: Could using an external email sevice (the mx records are pointing to zoho) be causing the problem? – YES

If you’re not able to send email from these domains, then either your WordPress host or Zoho mail probably does not allow that domain. You need to contact your hosting and inquire about allowed and filtered domains for outgoing email.

Please also see Setting Up Mail for more info on Email Authentication.

Dimitris — Did you find a solution? I am having the same problem. The Plugin is clearly working properly. And my client’s host has been useless in attempting to resolve the problem!

    Yes I soved it.
I went to my web host control panel:
    Mail settings –> Mail service
    And there I uncheked:
    “Activate mail service on domain”
The method may be differant at your host, but probobly similar.
    Hope this helps 🙂

Thank you, Dimitris! My solution was a little different, but same result.

In case anyone else is looking for solution and has HostGator for site hosting, I changed MX Entry to REMOTE MAIL EXCHANGER, and all is well.
