e-commerce lite and Mod Rewrite

Currently installed e-commerce lite from http://www.instinct.co.nz and it’s going ok so far. My big problem is I’m using permalinks. According to the instruction sheet…

“I have not been able to find a really good way to pass the required variables from page to page using permalinks that dont use mod_rewrite, if you cant use mod_rewrite, the plugin may not work with permalinks turned on.”

Well I’m pretty sure I can use mod_rewrite I just don’t know how. The permalink for the shopping cart is http://daxrich.com/products-page but there are some graphics missing when you add items to the cart and the transaction does not complete because it is looking in products-page for the image but it is only located here:

Any Suggestions?
