I've searched the forums and found some interesting info, but nothing that directly answers my problem, so I'm starting a new topic.
I just signed on a client who needs a quick turnaround (don't they all? ). I am wondering if anyone here can give me some recommendations on what solutions to use.
The client wants the main page of their new site to be a pre-sell page, with sales letter, video, etc. The goal of the sales page is to get the visitor to sign up FIRST (no fee). Then, once they've created an account, they will be taken to a store/shopping cart where they will be able to purchase the product. Of course, if they don't buy on the first visit, the client will use the harvested email address in an autoresponder series to build a relationship with them.
Given the above requirements, what will best meet these needs? They will not be delivering a forum, they will not be delivering a lot of content (i.e. it's not a traditional membership/e-class type site).
I appreciate any feedback you all can give. A few months ago I did a site for them using WordPress and they LOVED it, so I'd be happy to continue to use WordPress for their new site.
