I don't know if this is the proper place to ask this, but this is what I need:

I want to create a jump menu which displays the posts of the current category being viewed. I know very little PHP, and have scoured the net for a solution to this problem. No current WordPress plugins can currently do it, so I would like to know if there is a code I can implement which will give me what I want.

Basically, it would query the database for the current category being viewed, then get the posts for the current category being viewed, and then display them in a jump menu. Of course, the posts displayed would change dynamically depending upon which category is being viewed. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I am looking for the same thing but I would be ok with defining the category in a short code or something it doesnt need to determine category on own. cant find anything.
