    Hi,

    Thank you very much for the people who created this great (WordPress Related Posts) plugin !

    I am using this same plugin on so many big sites. It achieves everything I am looking for except one thing which is very important to me, so I really hope if you can let me know if that issue can be resolved even if it involves me some editing and coding on the plugin, I am willing to do that if you can direct me how to do it.

    The issue is like this:

    This plugin shows related posts inside any post randomely, what I found is that those related posts get changed to different related posts on the SAME post page you are at every around 2 or more minutes upon reloading the page or revisiting it, but they don't get changed if you relaod the post immediately after you are inside that post page, to see them changing you have to reload after a few minutes.

    What I am looking for is that any related posts list of (10 for example) that get displayed inside any post page randomly at the first time, remain fixed/static and don't get changed to other different related posts all the time unless a new post is made after that and the plugin sees it became more relevant to that post page than a related one already in that related posts list so it changes it only and then remain fixed and so on.

    Can that be achieved and how to do it?

    Really thank you all very much in advance for your time in answering and helping me with this issue since this is really very important to me and at the same time i haven't found a great plugin like this plugin to achieve all I am looking for.

    Regards,

    Johnson

    Hi,

    sorry for the very late response. I somehow missed your question.

    Our plugin should stabilized after some time. The initial fuzziness should go away after your reader will open most of the posts at least once. (A trade off between speed and accuracy)

    The potential problem could be cause by our random post algorithm(which is used when no related posts could be found) that changes random seed every 5 minutes. You can find this code in recommendations.php line 302. If you don't want random posts to change, replace this:
    $seed = $t - $t % 300 + $post->ID << 4;
    whith this:
    $seed = $post->ID;

    Best, Jure
