• I’m looking for a hack/code (rather no plugin) to let clients be able to change their logo and logo alt text in the CMS. Now I usally create a static image with a link to the homepage, and a static alt text/title text.

But it sould be possible to make this proces dynamic? Like putting an extra tab at appearance under menu with logo were a logo image can be uploaded and a alt/title text can be written.

Can anyone give me a good article/tutorial to get this done or good tips? The basic twentyx themes offer something like a header were a background image can be put in so it sould be possible without the use of a thumbnail or dynamic sidebar.

twentyeleven has a header upload option separate from the background which I think would work for implementing your idea. It’s not the best size or location for a logo, but could easily be moved on the header template. Size defaults are easily changed by filter. You could at least check out the code as a viable approach for your own solution.
