   Hey!

   I finally got my new music blog up and running the way I want it to and I'd love to get some feedback on this site. I used a blank thesis theme so I designed the layout myself.

   Looks awesome and very professional. Very clean and crisp. Had no idea it was a music blog though until I came back to your post here and read "got my new music blog up." Please understand that everybody, including myself, just skims content/layout initially, so it's key to have it VERY CLEAR what your site/blog is about, right at the top. Imagery, buttons, and welcome text help with this.

   That's a good point. It doesn't say music blog anywhere clearly. I think I'll add that to the header. Thanks for the feedback!

   Yeah, maybe put it right after your logo, since people read top to bottom, left to right. That said, chances are they'll see "music blog" or something similar right off the bat.

   Try and look at your site from a first timer's perspective; this really helps. I've been trying to do this too and I think I'm getting somewhere.
