    Hello there, I’m running into an issue using the Duplicator. I can through steps 1 and 2 just fine with no errors showing up in step 3. However, when it tries to update permalinks, it’s unable to find the file “wp-admin/options-permalink.php” file. That is because it did not correctly unzip the package to the root folder of the site. All the wordpress contents remained in an unzipped directory with the same name as the zip package.

    I tried to move all the wordpress contents out from within the unzipped directory to the new root folder, but then the Duplicator is taking back to the original site URL that was duplicated.

    I hope this makes sense… I tried to describe the issue the best I could. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hey mostros,

    If your on a MAC checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find section: “2. Installer=> I’m having some issues on my MAC what might be the problem?”

    If not you might checkout the developer version. The very latest version (0.5.3) can be found by following these instructions:

    -> Browse to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/duplicator/developers/
    -> Look for the section “Other Versions”
    -> Click on “Development Version” and download the zip plugin file
    -> Uninstall your current version and install this one
    -> Note: This is a development line version so please test in your sandbox first to make sure you have no issues…

    Let me know if this solves your issue…
