I have a very strange problem which i cannot resolve. Since tonight all my posts are duplicated, where the content appears twice on the same page on my site http://tarumatu.com.
All i've done today is to create a new post, which was working fine, and tried out a few plugins. I've deactivated all unnecessary plugins, yet it is still a problem. I've not amended by css files, i dont understand what has happened, can anyone help?
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I deactivated all the plugins, no change. When i tried Twenty10 and another theme i had, the site was fine, just not on the theme i've been using. Does this mean the theme is at fault, as it seems unlikely?
I'll try resetting the plugins folder, though never done this.
Yes - it means that the theme is at fault.

I've just reset the plugins folder by FTP the same problem persists, so as you say it must be the theme. I Will check it out, thanks for your help.

I am using the 2010 weaver theme, this problem started tonight.

I've been in touch with the theme developer who doesnt think its the theme.

My pages are fine, its just all my posts which are affected. Strangely, one post is ok but missing the red header which is on every page:
If the site is fine when using Twenty Ten but not when using your current theme,. then it has to be a theme issue. Either that or you have an unusual theme/plugin conflict.

I've been asked by the theme developer to reinstall my site. So i backed up the site using WordPress export and also PHPMyadmin on Cpanel to be safe, and deleted the site using FTP. To be on the safe side, right or wrong, i used a fresh download of WordPress, activated the site etc etc. The site is up, installed the Genova theme. All seems fine, posts and images remained, all the files appear ok. But none of the posts or links from the front page work, none of the images appear apart from the header which i re-uploaded as a test. What have i done wrong?

This is the error message on any post or page link i try:
Not Found
The requested URL /about/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

If i try to update an individual post the same problem occurs.
Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then set a custom permalink structure back up again.

Worked a treat. Is there a reason why most of the images are not uploading even though the url's are in place for each page/post and the media library shows the images?
Can you post a link to a page that demonstrates this?

It looks like i have to re-upload the post images as i've tried this on a couple of posts and it now works.
