Duplicate Post Slugs

    Hello!
    I am running WordPress 3.1.1 on a 1&1 Shared Server. I have fluctuated page names from ‘Events’ to ‘Upcoming’ to ‘Calendar’ for a specific page. Now I want to go back to calendar, but WP automatically adds a ‘-2’ to the end of the slug, even though there is no conflicting page in existence. I then tried to change it to something else, and I am up to calendar-5. Is there any workaround from the ‘-#’ issue/bug?
