[resolved] Duplicate plugin... how to remove? (6 posts)

    Hi JLeuze,

After removing and reinstalling the Meteor Plugin i now have multiple plugins in my overview (see screenshot in link: http://www.dreamlab.nl/meteor/plugins.png

But if i remove one of the deactivated plugins it removes all including the active one. And after another reinstall they all three re-appear (one active, two inactive).

It's not affecting the functioning of the plugin but it's not the way it should be.
Do you have a clue what to do to remove the other two?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm guessing that WordPress is having trouble removing the files from your server. Try using FTP to go in and manually delete all three copies of the plugin and then re-install it.

    Thanks for your quick answer!

I had copied the meteor-slides-plugin.php file twice. Something i do to prevent me deleting things and not being able to restore. Deleting those copies was the solution.

Another question: My slider doens't work with the WMPL Language plugin. When i switch from main language to English it disappears.

    Any idea how that's possible?

I haven't use the WPML plugin, but I know that other people are using it with Meteor Slides. Make sure you have a copy of the slideshow shortcode in both versions of the content. Also, I think you can exclude the slides post type and the slideshows taxonomy from being translated in the plugin settings?

I deactivated the translate option for the Custom Post Type, now it works.
