Mailpoet Updated to 2.6.2 (Plugin first installed March 17Th)
    Hosting = 1and1
    Using Internal WP_cron to trigger Php-Mail @ 20 emails every 15mins

I have one auto (latest posts) newsletter configured
    Scheduled for 14:00 daily.

stats show visits that morning (with tyhe normal peak 10:40)
For some odd reason it choose to send the newsletter out 5 times.
    first edition @ 12:39 2nd 12:58 3rd @ 13:22 4th at 13:58 5 at 14:17
    — some subscribers are a liitle upset amd s few have unsubscribed due to this error.
baffled as to why it choose the run early and also ran 5 times

No issues before with scheduled time and MP has completed without any errors.

Any recommenndations on how to diagnose the root cause?
or do i move over to a CRON job over native wp-cron.
Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

    Hi Pix365,

You should use (enable) MailPoet’s cron on the Settings page, Advanced tab, Geeky options link. MailPoet’s cron was designed to prevent duplicates.

If you have too many visits by the time your WP-Cron is running, you might have duplicates, that’s why is better to use MailPoet’s cron instead.

Even better if you can setup a server side cron together with MailPoet’s cron: http://support.mailpoet.com/knowledgebase/configure-cron-job/

If you need further help with that, please get in touch here: http://support.mailpoet.com/feedback/

    Thanks for the quick reply.
FYI.. Mailpoet Cron was aready active.
I add this just in case you get a few other tickect on this subject.)

However no issues since this one off event.
Running 5 test newsltters – 200 test emails each, scheduled to cause an overlap.
    None lost, no duplications.

& 100% agree a server Cron job is the safer option.
I will get this setup today.
