Ok. so I have been around the internet trying to resolve this issue. First the details. I am running WP 3.2.1 using Berita Free theme. Godaddy shared hosting on Linux servers. URL http://www.eilerslawgroup.com

The problem. I ran an SEO analysis tool and it came up with two "errors." 1) Duplicate content related to www and non www pages. and 2) no title on the home page. After digging around on the site, this is what I have found. When I go to the www version of the home page, everything is intact, there is a title metatag and my logo shows up. On all other pages this is true as well, EXCEPT the non www home page (http://mysite.com) This version, which the nav bar "home" link and logo link refer to, seems to be lost in space. It shows up, but it has no metatags and the logo is missing.

I am so confused on how to resolve this. I have seen some forums say to forward the www to the non www, but that would just point to the page that I am having so much trouble with. If I go the other way (non www to www) I will just point to nowhere.

I am sure this is a quick fix, but I am totally lost on how to resolve this.

Both the www and non-www versions look exactly the same to me. They both have the same meta tags and an empty title tag. To get rid of the duplicate content problem you have to redirect one to the other; the best way to do so is detailed here.

Thanks for the help. Sadly, the problem I was seeing browser related apparently. But the duplicate content is still a problem, so thanks for the link.

Add a canonical link to your head section

Easiest way is to use a plugin such as
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/canonical-link/
