Duplicate content after database change

I am using Custom Post Type UI plugin and wanted to change one of my custom post type names. I edited the database, the backend plugin and the functions.php file to match. However, it is now showing massive duplicates (keeps loading more content in without stopping) and is also commenting out some of my other code.
