I am having a hell of a time with duplicate content; sitting at about 37% according to siteliner.com. The archive, category, tags, etc. are all presenting the full articles in their summaries and it’s causing my duplicate content score to go way up. I suspect this is effecting google search rankings too (it’s something they count against you).

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

if you have problems with the duplicate content due to the category and tag archives, you can use the <!–more–> tag to split the content of your posts so the archive pages will display only the summaries, not the full posts.

I also can recommend you to install the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin. It has many useful features and it also allows you to keep the archives noindex and nofollow for the search engines.
Here is a detailed guide where are described the recommended settings: WordPress SEO.

I hope that my answer will be helpful for you.

    Best regards

Ty Tomas, I Think this might definitely help. I changed some settings. We’ll see if it worked in about a month when siteliner gives me another free check
