  • Hi Lester, I get the following message:

    Checking MYSQL Dump Path …
MYSQL dump path does NOT exist. Please check your mysqldump path under DB Options. If uncertain, contact your server administrator.

BUT the backups seem to go fine, theres files and everything?

Do I need to do something in order to be secure of restoring backups when I need to?

    Thanks,

    Nick

    1. The backup only backup your database and not your files. The checking of path is not 100% accurate. It is as accurate as it can be. Do a backup and download the .sql file and open it and briefing check through the contents to see if it is ok.
    2. Nope, you don’t have to do anything. Just ensure that you have renamed htaccess.txt to .htaccess and placed it in your backup folder (defaults to wp-content/backup-db/). This will secure your backups.

Thanks man! I’ve been using your plugin for years now, it saved me countless of times. Made a donation; keep up the great work! Take care

Thanks man =) Just to let you know, you do not need this plugin to restore the backup since it is using the standard mysqldump, it can be restored by almost any client like phpMyAdmin and even the mysql command line
