Hi, I am very new to using WordPress, and I have a dropped sidebar issue. It is appearing under my posts.

My issue is that I do not understand most of the solutions on the forum and I did a search. Can someone please help me out in fairly simple terms? Thank you.

OK, I was able to find in the CSS files that the sidebar was set to float left and not right, so now I have the sidebar on the right side of the page, but it is still at the bottom. How do I get to move it up the page?
I have checked the HTML in posts for issues like open div tags and img tags, and didn't find any (a common problem listed here).
If you post some pretty clear directions, I can follow them. Promise.
