• I have placed two child pages under one of my menu items, yet when I look at my website, it acts like there are no drop down items. I’m terrible at coding, but if someone gives me instructions I can do it. Using twentyeleven – when I switch to another theme they work.

    Can someone help?

  • Watch my video on WordPress menu management using the Squirrel theme. It should work for your theme too?

Hi flashbuddy, thank you for posting your video. It was very well done, but it doesn’t help me. The menus themselves are fine, but the child/submenus don’t show up.

When I hover over “Available Classes” the submenu items should pop down but they don’t. BUT! If I change from twentyeleven to a different template, they work fine. So that tells me I have them set up right, but something in the twentyeleven template is messed up.

I read that twentyeleven does support dropdown menus, so I must have screwed up somewhere. Hope I’m making sense!

In that case I would switch themes, delete 2011 and upload a fresh version.

    Oh well. Thanks! 🙁

Are you using ubermenu? I could never get 2011 to work right with it.

Reinstall the theme first though if you’re not, dropdown menus work out of the box in 2011.

I’m not using ubermenu. I deleted twenty eleven and reinstalled it and the problem is still there. I’m jinxed! Thanks everyone. 🙂
