dropdown menu won't stay open (5 posts)

    Hello.

I have completed the site, however on some PC's the dropdown menu folds back up once someone trys to scroll down. This does not happen on Macs and appears to only be on some pc's. Any ideas? Is due to old versions of explorer... and what do I do to fix it?

    Cheers for the help.

    Ray

You'll need to post a link to the site for us to help you out.

I guess I'm not understanding exactly what is going on. The main nav menu has a drop down that shows on hover, and when you hover off of that it goes away. So do you mean sometimes it disappears when trying to choose a link out of the drop down menu, or disappears when you scroll down the page?

I checked it out in IE 8 and IE 7 and didn't notice any problems, unless I'm misunderstanding the issue.

    Hello dkotter...

Yes, on some pc's the menu drops down when you hover on it, as you would expect, but when you try and choose a link it disappears. Hover on it and it appears, try and choose and it disappears again. I have had quite a number of people feedback that they can not see my work since I went live, as this is happening when they try. Frustrating as this is exactly the part of the site I need people to access.

It does not appear to be an issue with macs. Unfortunately, most prospective clients will be using pc's and most will be running older company laptops which may not have recent updates.

I don't have any understanding of web design or coding or anything like that at all and am at a bit of a loss as to how to make the site serve its intended purpose...

Thank for looking into it for me.

    Cheers, Ray
