drop shadow for layout (6 posts)

    Hey Community,

I started throwing together a template for a fundraising project I am working on, and I had a question about using a drop shadow.

    • how do you make it so that a drop shadow will expand with the height of the page?
    • is there a way to incorporate a background pattern and dropshadow?

I love what they did over at http://bbpress.org and would really like to be able to get a background and drop shadow as such, but for now, just to be able to get the drop shadow to expand with the content would be great.

I have my working concept at:

and I also reduced the min-height of my drop shadow div in order to make it stand out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    All the Best,
    Orion

Hey, moshu, I'm using fSpring. If I use a bg.png image like this, will the edged automatically flow out (liquid)?

I don't think so. The "technique" that uses this kind of bg image works with fixed width layouts.
