Drop Down menus stopped working :( (7 posts)

    I have 2 websites using the same theme - http://www.bowtechworks.com.au and http://www.aromatherapyworks.com.au - a theme that has been pretty heavily customised

    Yesterday I updated the plugins and the drop down menus stopped working.

    I deactivated all plug ins, and still no love.

    I updated my WordPress version to 3.5 - still no love.

    I changed to 2011 theme - seems to work.

    But this actually doesnt help fix the problem.

    Any help, even a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Okay. You can get support from your theme's vendors.

    I am having the same problem with that theme. Can you help me out Racheljh? I had a web developer ditch out on me and take the product code with him so I can't get into the support forum.

    Hi Moliychka,

    I fixed my problem by changing a line in my theme's functions.php to use an older version of jquery. Worked a treat!

    I changed:
    wp_register_script('jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js');
    to:
    wp_register_script('jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js');

    Hope this helps
    :)
