• None of my sub-pages are displaying when I mouse over the parent menu item although it has a symbol next to the text letting me know there are sub items. My site is thatlushlife.com

I think I messed with the CSS and caused this to happen. Does anyone know a fix or could give me the original Tonic menu/drop-down CSS so I could start over?

Thank you for any help or tips! 🙂

Can you re-upload the original theme?

I made a lot of other edits to the CSS style sheet and don’t want to loose all of that. That’s why I thought just replacing the menu/header section would help if anyone had the original theme CSS and could paste it for me to use.

Or any other suggestions for correcting the problem

You’re going to lose those changes when the theme updates anyway, the best thing you can do fish out the stuff you changed and then transfer that to a Child Theme style.css file or Custom CSS plugin.

Use a spot-the-difference tool like Diffchecker to check the code from the original style.css file with your style.css file to find your customizations.

Then you should be able to identify easily the CSS that’s causing the issue.

oh ok, I did not know that! Thank you!

I am now trying to figure out how to create a child theme and I keep seeing references to a wp theme directory and I can’t figure out where this is in WP or on my computer/personal files. I feel like this is a silly question but where can I find this? or is it something I create?

You would create the theme on your computer and then upload it to your WordPress site’s wp-content/themes folder. See child themes.

I dont know where that folder is — is it already there or is it something I create?

That folder ‘/wp-content/themes/‘ already exists, your hosting providers should be able to track it down for you.
