Hi,
Site: http://www.os42.com
I am trying to find a drop down menu solution for an increasing list of styles. I spent an hour searching through old threads and thought I had found it several times, only to discover the information I need is not to be found.
I am working on a few 3-column and left/right styles and would rather not add them until I have a better way of presenting the list.
Does anyone know of a way to add a drop down menu for styleswitcher?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Thanks for your reply Beel.
I will just try and find a javascript - not sure how to hack the styleswitcher though? Sorry, I cannot see your message properly - not sure if it is just me or the board.
You say you use????
I fixed my mistake, now I will hunt down my javascript.
Alright, I hacked the style-switcher and for the next 15 minutes or so you can see what I am talking about on my site. If the "dropdown" for Styles interests you, I will let you know how to do it.
Hi Beel.
Sorry I was out in the real world while you were doing the dropdown. Am I still able to see it anywhere?
Thanks for your help - it is much appreciated.
I am tweaking my test blog now, just click on my link. If you don't see a menu, pass the mouse over a link or resize your browser slightly (I am tracking down a bug that seems to cause the menu not to show sometimes).
Hey looks nice Beel.....I don't need the image beside it though.
How do I go about working out where and how to use it ?
Thanks for your great help :)
All seems to work perfectly Beel.
Thanks very much. You're a STAR!
It hangs a little when I change a style but nothing significant.
I also have a problem if I have the background in my boxes in a different colour because I then seem to get some kind of appearing/disappearing act with whatever is in the list - a simple mouseover and they appear but the first impression is that they are not there.
I don't believe this is related to the script - I had it once before so if I just keep my menu the same colour as the rest , I won't have any problems. It's another thing on my to-do list for now!
Thanks again - I owe you one - or two or ten :)
You should throw it in the wiki - I am sure there must be others who would want it too :)
