I made a post concerning the 1-click install on Dreamhost where I received a couple of error msgs on trying to access admin. Another Dreamhost user had the same problem. Dreamhost fixed that intitial problem and I was able to access the admin area. I began setting my categories and new problems started. After changing the default categories this msg now appears on the page where the categories should appear:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()in /home/.xenon/eyebeat/sainteyebeat.com/europa/wp-includes/template-functions-c ategory.php on line 304# No categories
I sent another msg to Dreamhost saying not all of the problems were fixed and they replied that they were downgraded the priority of this problem. I was pretty disappointed.
I'm an idiot. I know nothing. Is there anyone who can tell me how to fix this???
Do you have any posts in your blog? And, could we get a URL please. This isn't an install problem.
Nor is it a problem with DreamHost.
Post at least one item into each of your categories and that error should go.

Does anyone know of a truly reliable Host at a price as comparable to DreamHost? I signed up with them a week ago and the amount of downtime has me running for the cyberhills!
I've been reading forums aaround the net about DreamHost problems.
I just checked WordPress blogs of others which are hosted by DH and they're all down.
http://www.anditgoes.com ---it's not like you'll get to see it anyway.

Thanks. I'll check 'em out. I switched to DH from Yahoo! Small Business. I was with Yahoo! Since Nov. 2004 and they were NEVER down. Don't know why I switched.
DH is down, according to a post on MetaFilter, because of the widespread power outage in LA.

Okay. Now I feel like a dipshit.
But the fact remains that the downtime has been frequent.
I'm only posting it in here because I know of many WordPress-powered sites that are hosted by DH.

I've been with Dreamhost over 1 year, and this is the first day I've ever seen any real downtime. I've had a very good experience with them. I'd suggest just giving them a bit more of a chance. Today has probably been a very rough day, because their entire city lost power.
