• Everything was going fine, I was minding my own business when I was suddenly hit with the 404 message for any link leading from my main site!!!

This may be only for me (admin) because google analytics seems to be having other pages viewed.

    Can you help with this??

I have tried it all. Thank you.

  • Hi

Sometimes resetting the permalinks resolves this issue

go to Admin / Settings / permalinks
take note of what your permalinks are now.
change them to “default” and save change.
see if the 404 errors are still occurring
if not, reset the permalinks to what they were before changing to default.
check again and see if they work now

    YESSIR!!!!

    That’s worked.

    I’m baaaccckk!!

Now just gotta look at what permalinks are, and why/how it was changed to custom.

Thank you for your attention to this.

Thanks – I was having the same problem.

How do you get into the admin if you are getting a 404 error on that page as well?

wmduke — did you change Site URL right before this happened (at Settings -> General). If so, check out Changing_The_Site_URL for some options.
