[resolved] Drag and Drop: Pro feature? Other issues... (10 posts)

In concept, this is exactly the plugin I need, but it's frustrating me to no end right now.

I can't make the drag and drop feature work at all. Is this a pro feature? If so, this is not made clear. The default layout/theme will not work for me.

Also, in trying to display thumbnails, I get my images to appear if I select attachment, but not if I select First Image. Unfortunately, when I select Attachment, it doesn't crop the image. It only scales it, which creates some unwanted effects.

Finally, how can I ask a "pre-sale" question on your website when you require me to buy a membership before I can post?

    Hi Roadsider,

    Thank you.
What version of WP are you using, is there any JS error in your console?

The pre-sales questions can be asked here:

Thanks for your response. I'm using 3.7.1.

I can move items around in the default boxes, but not to any other boxes. I would like the text to wrap around the thumbnail.

The only message I'm getting is this:

event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

Also, the link to the presale question area is the same I went to before. When I click on the "Ask Question" button I'm taken to the login screen. Since I don't have an account, I click on "Register" but that takes me to the page with all the subscription options. How is that "pre-sale?"

Thanks for the update, but after reinstalling I'm still having an issue. I can't make the Title, date, or text wrap around the thumbnail. I also can't put any of those elements in the top or the bottom, only on the left or the right. Help?

OK, update: The problems cited above were while using Chrome on a Mac. In Firefox, the drag and drop seems to work better, but either it's not perfect or I'm unclear on how to use it. The photos still do not float left or right. Text, title, and date appear either above or below image.

@Roadsider: there is no reason why the drad and drop should not work on Chrome now. Maybe you just need to clear your browser cache to get the updated admin css that has been pushed in the new plugin release.

If you want to have text next to the image you should put the image in the left box and the text in the right box for example. Items put in the top or bottom box will always be above or under each other, but if the image is in the left box you can have some items next to it in the right box, or vice-versa.

The image does not float left or right in the top or bottom box in the default plugin theme, although you could make it float with you own css in your WordPress theme's stylesheet if necessary.
