    Hi

Is it normal for posts to require approval by an admin on the backend before the user can publish (versus save as draft or under review)?

I can't seem to publish directly even with and admin account.

Hi! We have this feature in our backlog. We are gonna add a setting section to define the approval workflow. Thanks!

    OK, good to know.

On a related note, this plugin would ideally enable admins to assign blogging rights on a per user basis via an admin screen (similar to how BuddyPress manages Groups in 1.7). Many BP communities have different types of members' rights and by enabling this functionality you could determine who gets to blog and who doesn't.

    Thx

Try with version 1.3. Now you can choose the workflow type. Enjoy!

    Hi,

I updated to your new version but the workflow settings does not exist for subscribers. I find it useful if subscribers have the possibility to write posts. The link for 'My Articles' has gone.

    Best Regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,

According with WordPress (http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#Capability_vs._Role_Table), subscribers can't write posts. I mean, It was a bug in previous versions of social articles.

You should change the users role from subscribers to another rol (editor for example)

Another posibility is add the edit_posts capability to subscribers using a plugin. For example: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/

    Regards,
    Miguel.

    Hi Miguel,

thank you for your fast response. I appreciated the bug before because a subscriber was able to write an article to the board and the admin could think about to publish it or not without changing any rules.

If I set the role for subscribers to edit_posts so he is able to edit all posts what means from other subscribers too, am I right?

    Regards,
    Thorsten

    Hi,

If you set edit_posts, the user can change his own posts. To change posts from others, there is another capability: "edit_others_posts"
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#edit_others_posts

    Regards,
    Miguel.

You're welcome! Please, look into the de_DE.mo file. There are a couple of lines without translate. If you update your file, please email me it to add it in next version.

    Regards,
    Miguel

But you didn't include the pot file Miguel. I checked it 5 minutes ago.

    Thorsten
