    Hi http://mangomaven.com here...

Have a 3 page PDF file that is the download doc. Had no trouble uploading it into backend. Both FF & Chrome are churning after one gets the click here to download email. Any ideas?

    Hi Wendy,

When you set up the widget form did you select the correct download in the drop down box before you saved it?

It's currently set to the download with the id number of 11. Is that the right one?

    Hi Andy

Thanks a million for the quick reply.

I think you were onto something b/c I updated files, but kept the same name, so it "looked right" but wasn't. I deleted the widget and started over.

So now I've got the download producing something but it's a whole page full of characters...literally.

    Hi Andy

At this point I've tried everything I can think of and it either hangs or gives me jumbled text. And I'm on a PC! "Everything" includes removing all fonts except for Internet font, Trebuchet, reducing file size, & trying jpg, pdf, & zip formats for the download doc. I have photos in my doc..maybe that's the problem. Who knows. I very much appreciate your help, but think I need to give up and try something else. :(

Yea, without me being able to duplicate it, it's hard for me to figure out exactly what is going south on you. Couple of quick questions before you go...

Do you know what kind of a server your on, or the name of the hosting company so I can figure it out? Also do you know what version of PHP you are running?

    Thanks, Andy

    Hi Andy

I feel badly taking up your resources b/c obviously other folks have got it working so the issue is with MOI.

To answer your question: I use Blue Host and the PHP Config tab has this checked: PHP 5.2 (Single php.ini)

Please don't spend too much time... :)

Thanks Wendy, It's really not a problem. If your having problems, other people might be having the same problems but aren't letting me know. They just give up and go on to the next plugin. Sadly I'm guilty of doing just that.

Besides figuring out what your problem is will make it easier for me to help someone in the future or code the plugin better to make it universally more friendly for different server configurations. Bottom line, it's the only way I can put out a good product =)
