Downloading pages taking for-ever (8 posts)

I use a hosting company who has fantastico. When I go into the wp-admin/ and do a new post, it takes forever for the page to come up. Then when it finally does come up .. it allows me to put something in the title, but gives me about 2 seconds to put something in the main area. Then the area (box) shows up ... but it won't let me add anything.

SO.... for many reasons I'm moving my hosting to a new company. I uploaded a new WordPress. And guess what! When I go to add something; it not only takes forever to get the new post page--- I just don't get it. I've waited as much as 15 minutes for it to show up.

I have not added any plug-ins to the new version on the new hosting site. (again it's fantastico I'm using)

I have cleaned out everything on my computer. I even turned off my anti-virus and firewall. I just wanted to see if that was getting in the way.

I look forward to an answer to this.

This is the page I'm trying to call
    /wp-admin/post-new.php

The page just came up. It's doing the same thing on the new hosting service as it did on the old one.

Also getting an error on the page. Same on on the other system. I am using IE 7.0

    Line 129
    Character 22
This content window is a null or not an object

    ------------
Maybe this will help someone to help me.

    http://elevatingyourbusiness.com/blog/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fblog%2F%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost-new.php loads fine in IE7.

Is this the page your are having problems with?

Wow! That is slow. I would suggest you unplug and plugins first and see if that helps.

Next check the server logs for your site. Your host should have a way for you to see them.

There are errors in the code so you should try to clean all that up also.

Thanks for looking. I have two blogs and one has no plug ins at all and still is slow. I haven't changed anything on the other site.

I'm guessing there is a problem somewhere in the wordpress code.
