   I have a question on downloading. Should I first download wordpress to my computer, update the wp/config.php, then to to my domain control panel and upload all the files to my domain space, which is alot of uploading, also can I upload to a new dir. under the root dir, for example http://www.car/tires.index.html. Can I upload the word press straight to my domain file manager also, is that possible, let me know. I have no problem upload all the wordpress files one by one its would suck but I hope there is another easier way. Thank Mike

   Typically you download the WordPress zip file to your local machine, unzip, then use an FTP program to upload the files.

   were would I go to get a FTP program, I know that I have it on my domain space, but not sure if I have one on my conputer!!

   If you get a chance to read the article I referenced, you will see where to download and setup FileZilla.

   I have read that but the question is do I need FileZilla, because I am using vdeck with ipower that has the php!! let me know, thanls

   Yes, you install FileZilla on your local machine and then connect to your hosts FTP server and upload the files.

   If you don't know the FTP server/login/password information for your host plan, please consult with your host's support department.

   ok so I will download and install FileZilla on my computer and how would this program connect with my FTP at my domain site with vdeck!!

    Ono more quick question!!! When I upload word Press to my dir. can I change the name, from word press to another name in my dir, like
    http://www.some.com/blog (use the name blog instead of wordpress)

    also what does this mean:
    The directory the user will have access to. Leave blank for the root (/) directory, otherwise you must put the full path to your directory. Do not include domain.

    Yes you can change the folder name from wordpress to blog. Then when you do the installation, just browse to http://www.some.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php
