   I have just downloaded the latest zipped version 2.3.3 and the files seem to be all in the root directory and not in subfolders, e.g. wp-admin, wp-includes, etc.

   How do I get the version that includes the subfolders? I don't know what to do with this 'flat' collection of files.

   The archive is correct you've probably unzipped it incorrectly.
