    Hi misanthrop,

First of all, thank you very much for this awesome plugin – we’ve used WP Download
Codes for a few months now and it’s worked just great!

A few days ago, we uploaded a second file available for download and generated download codes for it. Our issue is that after you enter the download code for the new file, the name of the old file appears as the downloadable link instead of the new file’s name. If you proceed with the download, luckily, the new file is downloaded.

Could you please let us know if there is something in the plugin’s settings or something that we could change so the correct file name is shown with the matching download link?

Thank you very much for your help!

    All best,
    whatsthe411

Thank you for the appreciation. I will take a look into this and reply via this channel.

Thank you for looking into this! Here’s a quick update from us – we found an alternate way by giving the files a more generic name, so now, a universal “Download mp3 files” is shown instead of a specific file name (we just changed the file names in the DC settings).

Since on the main admin page, the command is the following:

    [download-code id=”2″]

the MB size of our second release is indicated next to the download file. So I guess our new question is, is there a way to not show any MB size at all? Or would it be possible to somehow enter the numbers of all of our releases in this command field?

Any help is very much appreciated.

    Thank you!

Sorry, but I looked at the scenario mentioned by you in the first place and I do cannot reproduce it really. I also think that is is connected to your second question, so I am also not able to understand this one.

Can you elaborate on the conditions? The main question is maybe if you are putting two shortcodes for different releases on the same page. This is not possible as of now.

Sorry about the confusion. You did understand correctly though – our question was if we could put two short codes for different releases on the same page or even within the same box on a page, e.g.,
    [download-code id=”2 + 3″]
    or something along these lines.

If this is not possible as of now, would it be possible to only show the name of the release that is downloaded without the MB size next to it?

    Thank you very much!!

Ok, thank you, I think I understand. As of now, both things are not possible as not yet implemented. But I will consider the topic for the next version. Due to severe time restrictions, I cannot tell when this version will be release, though.

that’s too bad, but thanks again so much for helping with this and for intending to look into this in the future when you find some time for it. all best to you!

    Hi,

I committed a new version 2.5.0 today which includes the fix of the behavior which was described above. Means that when adding multiple shortcodes for different release ID’s, only messages and links are shown for the release to which the code entry relates.

I tested multiple scenarios, but please let me know if anything does not fit your expectations.

    Best regards,

    Armin
