I've done quite a search about the topic both in the support forums and in Google, all in all I couldn't find a solution for my problem.

I want to "grab" a whole wordpress blog from the internet, download all the posts and save them as html or plain text files (images or such doesn't bother me) for offline browsing on my handheld computer. It is important that I don't want to only get the updates (like thru RSS) but even download months or years of a blog (many-many posts) so I could read them as "ebooks" on my handheld.

I've found a free tool to do such with LiveJournals (haven't tested it yet though):

Anyone has a standalone program or a script maybe (or just clues of any kind), let alone a completly different kind of solution to that?

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this would work for you but there's a plugin that wil produce an XML file of the blog complete with comments and the like.

    Hope this helps,

If you use Firefox as your browser, there is an extension called ScrapBook for this.
    Maybe this helps.
