Here are the instructions to roll back:
1. Restore your site from the backup you made before you upgraded.
There is no other way to “roll back”.
And you’re basing your assumptions on a false premise, namely that 3.5 has had a lot of problems. It has not. In fact, 3.5 has been one of the smoothest and most problem-free releases ever. The master list of issues for 3.5 has been relatively tiny by comparison to some past releases.
So far, you can break down problems with 3.5 to the following items:
– Incompatible themes
– Incompatible plugins
– Incompatible server configurations
… and that’s about it. There haven’t been any major “bugs” found for most people. There is a minor bug with Microsoft IIS servers, but other than that, the 3.5.1 release will only be fixing a relatively few issues that cropped up from minor incompatibilities.
If you’re having problems, then you really do need to follow the troubleshooting instructions, deactivate themes, deactivate plugins, and find where the issue and incompatibilities are coming from.
Ranting on here about how much time you’ve wasted without saying what the problems have been, what you’ve done to try to fix them, or giving any information whatsoever that would let anybody actually help you, is kind of a waste of everybody’s time.
