   Just uploaded and installed version 2.8.5 in a new blog. The link in the sidebar that goes to the admin login has double slashes between the dot com and the directory name.
   example: http://xxxxxxxx.com//blog/wp-admin/index.php

   Did I goof somewhere in the installation or is this supposed to happen? The link works okay to open the admin, but then once in admin and any changes are made in settings and I click the save changes button, I get page can't be found error.

   Check the url you entered in Admin/Settings/General. It should not have an ending /.
