Anyone have a VB script or some other way to put double quotes around the data from a spreadsheet? I have a script, but it puts the quotes around each field as in "firstname", lastname", not around the entire name field as the example shows - "firstname, lastname"

    Thanks,

    Mike

Hey, you really don't need a script to do this. You could instead just import your csv into excel and when you export it as a csv again, make sure you adjust the setting accordingly. That method should work just fine. Remember to be cautious of encoding as well.

One last question. I am getting a \n in front of my first field of the inputted entry; only the first field. Everything else looks great.

I am using a .txt file and don't see anything odd.

I will keep looking, but thought maybe you knew something.

    Thank you,

    Mike

That has to do with your encoding. Make sure it's UTF-8.

Yes, it's your text editor that is applying data to the beginning of the file. Send the CSV and I'll test it.

Everything has to be encased in double quoted.
