   First, let me add that this blog was moved (with a lot of problems nonetheless) from a subdirectory of the domain up one level.

   Now the new posts which contain an attached image don't load the proper URL....

   This screenshot shows the auto generated permalink as of now: Screenshot 1

   Another interesting behavior is that the picture size is added to the name for some reason?! Screenshot 2

   Let me add that all the settings for permalinks are the default ones.

   To put it as simply as possible, it looks like your database was corrupted during the move.

   So what's to be done then? A new WP install?

   Also, be as detailed as possible in your explanation....I know a thing or two about DB's but I'm new to WP.

   I'm just thinking the best way to fix this is to restore the pre-move database backup and figure out where it all went wrong. Site migration usually involves updating all of the links in your posts, so if you did that with some kind of site mover tool, that would be my first suspect.
