[resolved] Don't want created page to appear in home page header (Atahualpa) (3 posts)

I'm using Atahualpa to run my blog, and have used it basically "as is" for just producing blog entries. (So, you can assume I know very little about the mechanics of the process!)

I want to create a page (i.e., a standalone "static" page, not a blog entry, i.e., something like the supplied "About" page), which I have done using the Pages option. When I publish it, however, a link to this page appears as a tab link up at the top of the main image and header of my blog, next to the Home and About tabs. This might be fine if this page were a significant permanent thing that I wanted people to access at anytime. However, I don't want this link/tab to appear for this particular page. All I want is for it to be a minor ("static") page that I am going to link to from one of my blog entries, using its pageid. I can't work out how to tell Atahualpa not to put this tab in.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Forums didn't help directly, but bits of reading and then pfaffing around finally helped me see that the Atahualpa Theme Options in the Appearance section of my WordPress dashboard has a section called "Page Menu Bar" which allows you to exclude pages from appearing in the Page Menu Bar (my trouble was that I didn't know what things are called).
