   Why the arbitrary truncation of URLs at 250 chars? And how can one enter https protocol addresses?

   Hi theresa95,

   I put those limitations in to keep the mysql db small and fast, but I agree it is too limited (more people have mentioned this as well). I'll try to get an update out somewhere this week to bump up those limits.

   I've just released an update and the Simple Events Calendar now allows for much longer titles and urls and super long descriptions.

   Will enable https soon as well.
