I have installed WordPress countless times using sites that are hosted with BlueHost, but now have a client that has their very own server and I am so confused as to how to even get started installing WordPress on that server via FTP. The server doesn't have MySQL or phpMyAdmin so that's my first step... but I'm totally confused on how to even do that part.
Can anyone help me? I'm running up against a deadline tomorrow and need to get this figured out or find a different solution.
... What is their host? Their own computer or somewhere else like GoDaddy?

Unfortunately for me... their own computer.
directions explaining how to install wamp or xamp are all over the web.
that said -- if you have a client that wants wordpress, you start by making sure that the environment supports wordpress. A server without php or mysql doesnt.
so you tell them to get real hosting, or you tell them to install the necessary stuff.

Yeah... I just sent them an email recommending that they allow me to set up hosting with BlueHost.com. For less than $100 all my angst with this issue would be solved!!
